What You Need to Know About Medical Aesthetics

What Is Botox? Who Is It Suitable For?

Botox (botulinum toxin type A) is an FDA-approved treatment that temporarily relaxes facial muscles. The main areas of application are forehead lines, vertical lines between the brows (glabellar lines) and crow's feet around the eyes. The effect lasts 4–6 months; with regular treatments this period may be extended.

Botox can be applied from the age of 25 onwards; treatments started at an early age have a preventive effect on wrinkle formation. When applied in the right amount and targeting the correct muscles, it does not create a frozen or artificial look — instead it preserves expression while reducing the appearance of fatigue.

Filler Treatments: Volume and Contouring

Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler injections are used to restore volume lost with age, define the cheeks and cheekbones, shape the lips and soften nasolabial folds. Hyaluronic acid is a substance the body naturally produces, so the risk of allergic reactions is extremely low.

The effect lasts 9–18 months depending on the area treated and the density of the product. Unwanted filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase enzyme, making the procedure reversible. At Checklife, a facial analysis is performed for each patient and a filler plan prioritising proportion and symmetry is prepared.

Pigmentation and Spot Treatments

Spots can arise from sun damage, hormonal changes (melasma), acne scars or the ageing process. The treatment approach is determined by the type and depth of the spots:

Chemical Peeling: Renewal of the upper skin layer using glycolic acid, salicylic acid or TCA-based peels. • Laser Treatment: Reduction of melanin density with fractional or Q-switch laser. • Medical Cream Protocol: Powerful actives including kojic acid, niacinamide, retinol and arbutin. • Combination Approach: The most lasting results are generally achieved by using more than one method together.

SPF 50+ sunscreen is mandatory with all pigmentation treatments; results will not be permanent without sun protection.

Facial Mesotherapy and Skin Renewal

Facial mesotherapy is a treatment in which specially formulated cocktails containing vitamins (C, B complex, biotin), antioxidants, amino acids and hyaluronic acid are delivered into the skin through fine needles. The aim is to increase the skin's own moisture and vitality, support collagen synthesis and slow the skin-thinning process.

With 4–6 sessions applied every 2–4 weeks followed by monthly maintenance sessions, results are made lasting. Facial mesotherapy provides a noticeable boost in radiance and hydration particularly for dull, matte and tired-looking skin.

Acne and Acne Scar Treatment

Acne is the result of a cycle of sebaceous gland blockage, bacterial proliferation and inflammation. Treatment requires different approaches for active acne (new spots) and acne scars (atrophic or hypertrophic scarring).

For Active Acne: Deep pore cleansing with salicylic acid, LED light therapy and medical skincare. Topical or oral antibiotics by dermatologist prescription when needed.

For Acne Scars: Combinations of fractional laser, microneedling (dermapen), chemical peeling and fillers. For atrophic scars (pits), the most effective method is fractional CO₂ laser or microneedling + PRP combination.

Anti-Aging: A Holistic Approach

It is known that anti-aging treatment cannot be achieved with a single product or procedure. At Checklife, the anti-aging approach covers the following steps:

1. Skin Type Analysis: Sebaceous activity, moisture level, pigmentation and elasticity are measured digitally. 2. Combined Protocol: Synergistic combinations such as Botox + fillers + mesotherapy + peeling are applied on a personalised schedule. 3. Home Care Programme: A home care routine tailored to the patient, containing vitamin C serum, retinol and SPF 50+. 4. Periodic Evaluation: Progress is monitored with photographic comparisons every 3 months and the protocol is updated.

Our goal is long-term beauty: preserving naturalness, maintaining expression and genuinely improving skin health.
